Computer Aided Design tools were used to study the relationship between combustion and construction. Lighting sheets of paper on fire and videotaping the combustion and construction for analysis. The first studies began with flat sheets we lit on the edges, next we moved to randomly crumpled sheets. From the the analysis of the video we began experimenting with different controlled geometrics to study the rate of combustion.
